Brentwood Preparatory School Magazine
5 Brentwood School Preparatory It is my very great pleasure to be writing this forward in what has been a truly splendid year. It has been an extra special time of reflection and celebration as we have organised many events to commemorate the founding of Brentwood Prep in 1892 and the 125 successful years that have followed. When the idea of a celebratory year was first mentioned we had a very simple plan in mind – to involve the pupils in everything we do and to be as community based as possible. For those who were fortunate enough to be at the Prep 125 Cathedral Service we can truly say that we met those aspirations and the same can be said for the wonderful Victorian Day and burial of the time capsules in the Walled Garden. Over the years, this publication has certainly provided us with the opportunity to reflect, and to look back on past editions certainly evokes a sense of achievement as so many pupils have moved on to new challenges and made their mark on the wider world. All of the events you see chronicled have taken a huge amount of planning and dedication and I would like to take this opportunity to thank those members of staff who have given so much this year. Lastly, I must thank our editorial team of Mrs Crichton and Mrs Peacock. They have worked so hard in putting this year’s Incipe together and I hope that you enjoy the fruits of their labour.
