78 Brentwood School Preparatory Music Our first event of the school year was an Informal Concert where 10-20 pupils performed and 15-20 people spectated. Next in the month came the Senior Concert. 13 individuals and 8 groups played. Over 200 people watched. In December, Chamber Choir visited Little Warley to sing for a church service. After that happened, they performed in the Christmas Fair. School Orchestra also played there. Chamber Choir then went to the Hogarth Centre and sung there. The Year 3s and 4s also performed their Christmas production which Mrs Cooke directed and the result of it was amazing. In January, the Year 5s went to the O2 and sang there. It finished very late and all the kids who went there had a blast. In March we had a Cathedral Service which was very important as lots of governors and mayors came to watch. Performing were Chamber Choir, The Whole School (Years 2-6), Brass Ensemble and some pupils from the Senior School Choir who sang with Chamber Choir. Alex Lockyer played to some songs and the Senior Choir performed. In June, there was an Informal Concert and the Year 6s rehearsed and performed their play which was The Pirates Of Penzance and that was spectacular. As it was near the end of the school year, there was prizegiving which the Year 6s sang in and following that was an Open Day which Chamber Choir and School Orchestra performed in. There were music examinations in December, March and July. By Seerat Sandhu & Chloe Leslie
