85 Brentwood School Preparatory A message from the editors… Incipe, they said, was a breeze, We discovered quite soon it was not with ease, That with sweat, blood and tears we wrote this review, And here it is, created for you. One couldn’t use computers, The other couldn’t spell, Like Jack Sprat and his wife, We worked it out well. We’ve enjoyed this immensely, and we hope it shows In the pages of artwork, reports and prose, How busy the children and teachers have been, Well done to all, until the next magazine! On Saturday 29th April, Maia Parmar and Emma Burgess represented Brentwood Prep at the recent IAPS Poetry Performance Competition at St. Martins Ampleforth Prep School near York. It was a very exciting occasion and all the performances were all of a very high standard. Maia and Emma were competing against pupils up to Year Eight, they acquitted themselves extremely favourably and performed their poems with confidence, enjoyment and enthusiasm. Poetry Performance
