My memories are quite clear, and I remember that the night before the match I was panicking and trying to find out information about where I could go and things like that. But the next day everything was fine and I was practically worrying about it for nothing. It’s a funny thing, that. Humans spend at least 50% of their life worrying about things that never happen. We were lining up then we sat in the coach. On the way there, we chatted with our friends and played games and even made up some new ones. It felt like it took forever but finally Mrs Woodford announced “We’re here!” There were butterflies in my tummy. Big ones. We came out of the coach and went to the netball court. As a warm up, we had to run around it twice. By the time we had finished, we were puffed out! After what seemed like seconds, the match begun. My position was Centre so I went there and met my opposition. The ball came to me lots of times and I had devised a plan: I get the ball Throw to the goal Goalie retrieves it and scores We had earned loads of goals like this and the other Centre was asking us to score at least one goal! I replied with a wide grin, “I’d really love to, but no!” During half time, we had a team huddle and thought of ways to win. Towards the end of the game, my standard dropped down low. I don’t remember how many times I ran with ball, but it was a lot. At the end, we found out that we had won! YAY!!!! As we were having orange juice and eating delicious muffins, Mrs Woodford came up to me and told me that I had won title of Player of the Match! DOUBLE YAY! On the way back, we chatted with our friends and played games and made up some more new ones. I went home that day feeling tired but immensely content.
