Scorching hot the morning came,as the birds began their morning song, the flowers began to bloom and a swift breeze flew through my window and woke me up to a beautiful day. Blue, Yellow, Red and Green, everybody was dressed to represent their house. I represented the beautiful blues who are Bayman. We stomped our way down to the field roaring ”We are Bayman we are proud, come on Bayman sing it loud! Blue army, blue army, da da da da da da da da da BAYMAN!” Under the canopy I laid myself down on a carpet of grass, as the racers whizzed by time and time again. It was finally my go. It was the 100 metre girls. Terrified I stumbled up the path to my spot, he blew his whistle and off I sped. Unfortunately, near the finish line, two people overtook me so I came 3rd. Again I lay down on the grass and Mr Barber, our house tutor, kept us all entertained! Then it was my final race, the combined Year 3 and 4 girls’ relay. Bayman came 3rd this year. It was no surprise to me, Quennell won again! But, at least we didn’t come 4th like poor Lawrence. It was a good day, fun and disappointing at the same time but, it was good exercise and more fun than it was disappointing and that’s the most important thing.
