A Fly On The Wall - Year Three Leeds Castle Leeds Castle is very good - we rate it 5/5! We enjoyed it because there was a really fun maze and playground as well as the castle. The bus drive was very long and we were getting bored so when we got to Leeds Castle, we were all excited to get off. When we walked up to the castle we saw lots of cute baby ducklings and geese by the lakes. We went into a museum which was the castle. It was interesting and everything was old fashioned. We kept spotting pictures of King Henry VIII because he used to live there. Our favourite part was going in the maze. At the end of the maze there was a really scary bit which was a shell grotto. Everyone screamed in fear! But we got over our fears! We watched the falcon show too, they were wonderful. At the end we could have an ice cream. We had mint choc chip! In Enrichment Week we went to Leeds castle. I enjoyed watching the birds of prey, especially when the falcons were flying. In the castle I liked Lady Baillie’s dressing room because she had a lovely dressing table with a big mirror. The maze was beautiful and I liked the shell grotto even though it was scary. My favourite thing to eat was my ice cream, I had mint choc chip. We had a fun day at Leeds Castle. I liked looking at the Queen’s bedroom, her bed was huge with a big canopy. The maze was really scary at the end, I liked it when the shell man made sounds like a ghost! In the playground there was a climbing wall. I went down the slide but you could jump over the other side. When we watched the birds of prey, the Harris Hawk flew over me and Anika and nearly landed on our heads! We really enjoyed our trip to Leeds Castle. It is really old, it was built in 1119. Catherine of Aragon’s bedroom was good, the bed had HC on it for King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine. It was huge. We saw lots of ducks and geese and some really cute yellow ducklings in a nest. My favourite part was the maze, I did it twelve times! I had a Twister ice cream and watched the bird show.
