Brentwood School Preparatory 54 A Fly On The Wall - Year Three Lego Adventure at Sandy Beach “Hurry up!” yelled David. Quickly, Ryan followed. “Let’s look for crabs,” said David. While David was looking for crabs he was saying, “Wow, look at this, it looks amazing!” He saw a massive box, it was blue and very shiny. “Come, there is an amazing box you have to see!” announced David. Ryan was there as quick as a flash. The boys tugged at the box, eventually it popped open and in the box was the Queen’s crown! Out in the distance they heard a man’s voice and it was saying, “Hey that’s mine!” The two boys shut the lid and started to run. They panted and got into each other’s way a lot. They struggled to find a place to hide in the cliffs. The man got closer, close enough to identify him. It was a scruffy looking man wearing all black. He was riding a lightning fast mule. “Let’s hide here,” David whispered, rushing into a cave. Ryan snapped a stick. His heart pounded like a drum. They reached further into the cave and hid in a pile of rocks. They saw webs everywhere and heard water dripping. All at once, the man was at the mouth of the cave and shone a torch into it. He could not spot them because they were too deep down in the cave to be seen. The mule could smell them so it got closer and closer to them. The man roughly jerked the mule’s tail and said, “Here mule, after them!” The boys waited until they could hear the man stumbling away then they waited a long time before leaving and they ran home as fast as they could. Their mum did not believe them at first until she saw the box. She called the police and as quick as a flash they told her the Queen had been robbed and they had been looking for a clue. The evidence was the footprints of a large mule. David could imagine the headlines, the Queen’s crown found by school boys and, even better, there was a reward too! Daisy and Maisie’s big adventure “Hurry up!” shouted Maisie, she was not very patient. Slowly, Daisy followed Maisie. The two girls stopped and looked at the floor to see different creatures. “Hey what’s this?” Maisie asked Daisy. It was a gold, shiny box with sparkling red gems on the outside. Maisie pressed the golden button and POP! POP! POP! Inside was a colourful, sharp key and an old, small map! Daisy asked Maisie “Shall we take it?” “Ok,” answered Maisie. Daisy took the map and Maisie took the key. They followed the map to a cave. Maisie pushed the door open. They saw another door open. They saw another door. With the key they unlocked the door but inside wasn’t gold, sparkling treasure ... there was an ugly ogre, his name was Greedy Grampa and there were sweet wrappers everywhere . Daisy was knocked unconscious because of Greedy Grampa’s ugly, disgusting face. Now, Maisie had no time to get her awake so Maisie got her on her back and hid behind a tall tree. Maisie dropped Daisy and she woke up. She didn’t know what was going on. But Maisie quickly told her the whole story. They cried with fear. Then, they heard footsteps. They got terribly scared but it was just their mum. Daisy and Maisie were desperate to tell their mum. Mum was shocked about what she heard. Their mum got her phone and called the police. The police were happy to find the box and ogre. The police thought they wouldn’t want money so they got ICE CREAM. YUM! Poetry and Prose...
