BigPitch The 21 Dr Michael Watts UHDB Digital Communications Fellow and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Blum Health Ltd Dr Michael Watts is the Co-Founder and CEO of Blüm Health, a digital health start-up formed upon the single goal to revolutionise the way that child developmental milestones are tracked. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael and his team realised there was a greater need - to support start-ups in designing and building their innovations, in order to accelerate the speed at which they could turn their ideas into reality, at a time when digitalisation of healthcare services was most crucial. The team themselves built two COVID-19 solutions which they subsequently sold several months after the projects started. Through utilising their own experiences and challenges, the Blüm team have continued to turn their focus towards becoming enablers for Clinical Entrepreneurs and early-stage start-ups in preparing them for grant applications, investment, or concept validation. They call this the Blum Propagator. Whilst providing such support, the team at Blüm HQ continue to follow their curiosity compass as they design and develop their own innovations, which they hope will continue to provide support to the NHS and other healthcare providers through the remainder of the pandemic and beyond. https://linktr.ee/DrMikeWatts Email: [email protected] Natalie Bradley Special Care Dentist and Founder of In.Dent Natalie is currently completing her specialist training and Masters in Special Care Dentistry at Kings College London. She is passionate about improving the oral health of homeless and marginalised groups. She has previously set up a dental service within the NHS using a mobile dental unit to provide dental care to homeless people in East London. In.Dent is spun out from this and aims to improve the oral health of people who experience homelessness. In.Dent aims to be the socially inclusive oral health network; taking dental services directly into communities, collaborating with organisations to integrate oral health and general health messages, as well as training the dental workforce in inclusion oral health.
