22 BigPitch The Dr Raghu Ramaiah Consultant Paediatric Intensivist and Founder of Aiklu Dr Raghu Ramaiah is a Consultant Paediatric Intensivist. He is passionate about artificial intelligence and how it can help millions of people. He has spent two years building image recognition and other AI algorithms to diagnose, grade and treat skin conditions at primary care level. He has led his company Aiklu set up a year ago, through a successful funding round, Innovate UK funding for a COVID project and CQC approval to run nationwide teledermatology and skin clinics (Aiconic Clinics). Aiklu will implement AI on its platforms and run clinical trials of the algorithms for acne, rosacea and psoriasis to get it CE marked in 2021. Aiklu will launch an AI driven App - Acne Consult, to help 500 million patients globally suffering from acne. Aiklu aims to provide decision support tools for GPs and nurse practitioners to diagnose and manage the common skin conditions in the community. [email protected] Dr Rosie Riley GP Trainee in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and CEO of VITA Rosie is passionate about seeing an end to modern slavery. Over the past seven years she has fought to transform the health response, promoting the recognition of modern slavery as a major health challenge to individuals and societies. In 2014 she founded VITA, a clinician- led organisation, working to ensure victims presenting in healthcare settings can be safely identified and supported, whilst advancing and facilitating national modern slavery prevention, intervention and survivor care. VITA training has now been delivered to more than 1,500 frontline NHS healthcare professionals and will be scaling nationally from August 2021. Rosie and her VITA colleagues have an advisory role with the Home Office and Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, NHS England and have established the national VITA Network - a platform to connect, equip and mobilise individuals and organisations working to advance the health response to modern slavery.
