She already has the superpower of being a teacher but, if she could have another one, she’d love to be able to breathe underwater. The most fascinating place she has ever visited is Xakanaxa in Botswana on the Okavango Delta. She is an old school romantic: her favourite movie is still the Titanic . If she were stranded on an island, she’d want to bring with her a book on ‘how to survive on an island’. Her favourite gifts from students are savoury treats and A’s. Charne Meiring Miss Miller has a cat called 'The Cat' named by her three-year-old daughter. The Cat turned up in their garden almost three years ago during a cold snap and they discovered she was sleeping between their house wall and the fence. She was very thin and had a number of medical problems. So they fed her, took her to the vet and sent her photo to various lost pet websites, but no one ever came forward. Now The Cat is a permanent member of the family. The childhood cartoon that has stuck with her the most is The Mysterious Cities of Gold and her favourite movie is Jurassic Park . If she could have any superpower, it would be the ability to fly, so that she could revisit Iceland, the most fascinating place she has ever been.
