Brentwoodian 2019

124 Ms Watters decided to become a Biology teacher after being a veterinary nurse. She enjoys telling gruesome stories from this time to her students. Perhaps unsurprisingly, her favourite movie is The Predator . She has a cat called ‘Stir-Fry’, but her last meal on earth would be a pavlova, not stir-fry. Her favourite ice cream flavour is Hokey Pokey and her current hobby is learning to ride her motorbike. She would be content to only wear one colour (PURPLE!) for the rest of her life, as she loves it so much. Anne Watters Favourite quote: Do, or do not. There is no try! Yoda Mrs Roberts decided to teach English because it means she gets paid to read novels, plays and poetry and also help students (hopefully enjoy) but definitely improve in English. In her free time, she loves yoga, reading, swimming and theatre trips. Her glimpse of brilliance is that she rowed 1st VIII for her college at university, but she also loves the occasions when she can beat her husband and friends at Catan. She has a 45kg Giant Schnauzer named Wolfgang and her favourite meal is cheese on toast and baked beans - pure comfort. Her funniest memory is her veil falling off during the vows at her wedding. There is an amazing picture of her and her now husband laughing out loud as it fell onto the floor. They obviously then had to repeat the vows. She would like to be remembered for being a good friend and a good mother. Alexandra Roberts Favourite quote: Two stick people are talking to each other - one is holding a jar of happiness. The one without says “Where did you find that? I’ve been searching for it everywhere.” The one holding the jar says “I created it myself.” Advice for students : Work smart and aim for balance in your life. If you remember that exams are a battle of wits between you and the examiner it becomes a competition rather than a test, which means anything is possible.
