Brentwoodian 2019

40 This season has been highly successful with the equestrian team picking up numerous wins and qualifications. A highlight of the year was the NSEA National championships in October where we had qualified for the 85 and 95 show jumping. The 85 team put in a superb performance with clear rounds from Emma Philpot, Yegor Vyshnevskyy and Charlotte Cooke and in the 95 Emma, Ben Hogarth and Charlotte all went clear again with fast times to come 6th nationally. Emma also qualified in the British Eventing points league championships producing a lovely dressage with a double clear for 5th In the hotly-contested finals. As a sign of respect, both horses and riders wore poppies when competing on Remembrance Sunday at the Hickstead Eventers Challenge Qualifiers to once again successfully qualify two teams. The summer was rich in more Championship qualifications when every show jumping team in every class won with Lily Tappin, Charlotte Cooke, Sophie and Emma Philpot. The same result was achieved with a whitewash of National qualifications for all levels of Jumping with Style teams at Finchingfield with the above riders plus Imogen Pohl and Grace Parrish. To prove depth and breadth in our talent the dressage teams also qualified at the recent September event for Nationals. We are looking forward to a very busy NSEA championships in October with the full team in action. In 2017 we won four National titles and last year top six placings so here’s to a good run! Thank you so much to all the parents who drive us all over the country in the early mornings and Annette Philpot for giving us all her valuable knowledge and assistance at every competition.
