It’s safe to say that the 2021 Sports Day was a massive success, with so many pupils participating in the wide range of events, giving it their best effort, regardless of their familiarity with the sport. By Rosie Keane During South HouseWeek which commenced on the 19th April, our charity drive was the ‘£10 challenge’. This involved all students participating in a sponsored event, whether it be running, cycling, walking, a cake sale or a sponsored silence to raise money for a very worthy cause, Saint Francis Hospice, South House’s chosen charity for the academic year. Not only did many students get involved, but also teachers and family members of Brentwood School students. It was a great success as we raised £1,051 for this very worthy cause. A huge thanks to our Brentwood School community! by Jessica Ellis Being Head of South House for twenty years has been an absolute privilege. I have been lucky to work with some incredibly dedicated staff who have supported South superbly and, in particular, I would like to thank Mrs Ebden for all of her hard work as Assistant Head of House throughout this time. Most of all, however, I would like to thank and congratulate the students who have shown such a commitment to the House, taking part in events with such enthusiasm and supporting each other superbly. I would like to wish Miss Hanly the best of luck in her new role as Head of South and she will be well supported by Alex Mead as House Captain. By Mr Long
