111 John C. Maxwell said: “Reaching the top is a monumental achievement, but remaining there may be the most spectacular feat of all”, a feat we achieved yet again in retaining the House Cup! I have said this before and I will say it again, the attitude of how you get to the top is more important than being there. Against all the odds that the Pandemic and Covid measures would throw at us, this is a remarkable achievement, and for me, it is the togetherness and the spirit of theWealdites that makes me the most proud. I cannot thank everyone associated withWeald enough - you are the reason why I want to come to Brentwood every day. The highlights of the year are almost impossible to summarise, but I will do my best in this article. As always, we kicked the year off with House Music, but this time it was virtual, and credit must go to Music Land for somehow organising the event. Our PartSong started the evening and our superstar, Sammy Li, designed our wonderful video. A stunned Mr Cooper explained how the music producers didn’t even need to edit it...and we rightlyWON the PartSong - an incredible achievement. The Ensemble was composed and conducted by the talented Ian Ho, whilst I held back the tears, Ian’s piece was played in emphatic style by our Ensemble team. I am always in awe of how our students can produce and play such high quality music in just 10 school days and Ian and his Ensemble team are no exception. Unison was up last by our brilliant Captains, Lucas Ring (Deputy Head of School) and Beth Linnell (Head of School). Both Beth and Lucas will be remembered as two of our most wonderful students and I would like to thank them for their wonderful contributions over the last few
