Brentwoodian 2021

114 the show. After winning the Year 9 title, they went on to beat the South House Year 11 pair in the grand final and win the Brentwood School Mario Kart Championship - incredible! School House BAC week followed and the ‘Headline’ event was the Play it Forwards video inspired during Lockdown. Thanks to numerous toilet rolls, the Maltby’s dog, several creative Sixth Form students and Sammy Li’s amazing videography (again) we won the title! Special mentions to Mr McNiff for his hilarious clips and Marley the rabbit! Between House BAC weeks are subject BAC weeks. There are House Points awarded during one event each week and I would like to thank everyone for getting involved, whether that was taking part in a quiz, baking a cake, or even building a snowman! During PE BAC week we played House Football and Netball. We absolutely dominated the pitch and courts and I am very excited by the full sporting calendar that we have for sporting events this year. It was Weald BAC week next and of course we wanted to win as many events as possible! Our Chess team did exactly that! Playing in six tournaments across the year, finishing runners-up overall to a formidable East House team, but weWON our Weald week tournament. A huge well done to all the Chess Team, especially to Nina Pert for obliterating the field at times! Other Weald superstars include Harrison Farr, Adam Heffernan, Pranita Arun Prasadh, Reuel Fayele, Peculiar Oyedele, Ips Rishi, MatthewWand and, of course, Mr Walton! Our Inter-House Quiz team was the team to beat over the year, but no one could beat our Year 10 ‘dream team’! Mr Hitchings’ University Challenge-style quiz is a sight
