Miss Parsliffe joins the PE Department. For her, teaching is all about interacting with students and helping colleagues with dayto-day tasks. Miss Parsliffe realised she wanted to become a PE teacher after she had completed lots of coaching when she was younger. When she is not playing sport in school, she can be found playing more sports in her spare time, going out for dinner and spending time with her friends and family. Miss Priddle has a great love and enthusiasm for her subject of Geography. Her aim as a teacher is to get her pupils to love Geography as much as she does. She hopes to inspire them to be responsible members of a global society in order to take care of the planet. For Miss Priddle, teaching Geography expands pupil’s understanding of physical places and human populations, taking them from local Brentwoodians to global citizens.Whilst the subject is rooted in processes and connections, the use, value and security of places and spaces is always evolving. For this reason, the pupils, and her, are always learning and that is what she enjoys most about teaching her subject. Away from school, Miss Priddle plays for a softball team in London and is a keen follower of England and Somerset cricket. She is an Ipswich Town season ticket holder so can often be found at Portman Road on the weekend. Over the next year, she will be completing an MSc International Development course at the University of Portsmouth. 150
