Mr Prinn joins the Biology Department as well as many extracurricular activities like coaching the U13C Rugby team and supervising the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Biology is all around us. The natural world and biological concepts are integrated into every aspect of life. Mr Prinn has a great enthusiasm for his subject and feels that it is a privilege to be able to share this with Brentwood students. Mr Prinn has always been interested in Biology, especially exotic pets. He has spent many summers enjoying teaching outdoor education at residential sites. Putting the two interests together led him to becoming a Biology teacher. Outside of school Mr Prinn cares for his many aquariums (he has six tropical fish tanks). He also likes to go fishing, and play the popular card game: Magic the Gathering. If he could have any super power, it would be super speed so that he can mark tests quickly! Not only will Miss Scholz be joining the Mathematics Department, but she will also be running a beginners club for ballroom dancing. Miss Scholz’s favourite aspect of teaching is seeing students who are a little intimidated by Maths who then go on to achieve more than they thought possible. She got into teaching as she comes from a family of teachers. Her granny is her role model as her Gran had such special relationships with her students even when she was already 90. In her spare time she likes travelling, running and playing the violin. While tucking in to her favorite meal of wild boar stew (her uncle hunts) she usually watches her favourite show of Downton Abbey. She has a cat called Pauline, but as her cousin's name is Pauline, too, she just calls the cat "cat" or "mouse" to avoid confusion. 151
