49 Brentwood School Athletics team produced another outstanding season of results. Regular fixtures took place each Saturday along with midweek fixtures; this allowed for students to experience maximum opportunity to take part in competitive athletics. All of our respective teams showed excellent commitment, resilience, enthusiasm and determination to achieve success in both the National Athletics finals and the District Championships. In the National Athletics finals the Junior Boys, Junior Girls and Intermediate Girls teams finished first in their respective county rounds, while in the District Championships the following teams won their respective competitions: Year 8 Girls, Year 10 Girls, Year 8 Boys, Year 9 Boys, Year 10 Boys. This was a tremendous achievement; in total Brentwood won eight out of the 11 trophies on offer. There were also some individual successes: national success was achieved by Jonah Miller (Year 9) who finished 7th in the National hurdles final while Christopher Thompson finished 4th in the National Long Jump final. Regional success was also achieved by many of our athletes at the Essex Championships. The following athletes finished in the top three positions: Sam Davies (1st Shot Put, Year Athletics
