By Rev Adrian McConnaughie New Careers programme Last year, in the midst of the pandemic, we started our new Careers Programme. I was a parent at Brentwood School for 19 years before I started teaching here in 2010 when my last child left. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching Psychology to our wonderful Sixth Form students but really wanted to be part of the new Careers Programme before I retire. At Brentwood, we want to prepare all students for life beyond our lovely school. We want our students to enter the next stage of their life with the appropriate qualifications to enable them to become responsible, qualified and participative members of society. Each and every student should leave Brentwood School with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage their future career path having gained an understanding of the career options available to enable them to succeed in adult life. By helping students to recognise their own strengths, we hope to support and empower them to make informed decisions.
