65 When we all returned to school in September, the excitement and trepidation was palpable. Indeed, fundraising for charities was perhaps not at the forefront of most of our minds, and we were still feeling incredibly proud of what we were able to do during the Trinity term of last year (House fundraising via Google Sites pages, sponsored walks using JustGiving pages and links to donation sites on the weekly Virtual Music Land performances). However, charities do not stop functioning, so we couldn’t either! Once again, I have been incredibly proud of the effort that Year Groups, Houses and individuals will go to to raise funds and awareness for causes they feel are important. In the Michaelmas term, we were able to safely put on our House charity Christmas fairs, in year group bubbles. This highlight of the term adapted to the needs of the time and thanks to the innovation of Heads of House and students, we had a myriad of stalls selling crafts, running raffles and offering festive games. North managed to raise the most for their charity, Barrow Farm, at £180, followed byWest who raised £101.88 for Essex Wildlife Trust. Huge congratulations should go to all the Houses, though, who raised close to £100 on average for their chosen local charity. North House was also the first House to
