78 cadets participating fully in the activities. The Year 11 Cadre cadets gave some very impressive online lessons to complete their Method of Instruction course. During the second lockdown Cpl Ipshita Rishi completed her BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Teamwork and Personal Development; her enthusiasm for the course led to us running a course at school over Easter and a further 11 cadets received this qualification, a great achievement. The Trinity Term saw the Section again continue with their syllabus lessons, and both staff and cadets were looking forward to Field Day when there was a sense of normality returning. On the first day, the Section travelled to ESSAWater inWaltham Abbey for a teamwork and leadership day participating in activities such as raft building and katakanuing with the staff team giving the cadets a run for their money. On the second day, activities such as Archery, Archery Tag and Shooting gave the cadets a true taste of CCF Field Day activities. Field Day also gave us the opportunity to say goodbye to our Senior NCOs; the Section would not operate as efficiently as it does without their commitment. I am grateful for all the support the cadets and staff have received from: CWO Jemima Parasram, Flight Sergeants Ethan Barton, George North and Keanu (Ziggy) Wamae and Sergeants Emma Bowie Britton, Ethan Brooks, Isabella Edgington, Adrian Li and Jacky Ma, their collective and individual contributions have all made a positive impact, thank you. It only remains for me to thank my team of ever-reliable officers: Sqn Ldr Karen Semple, Sqn Ldr Tim Cope, Flt Lt’s Jenny McLeod and Keith Gray and APO Grace Cutbill. The Section would not be as successful as it is without their continued hard work and support. We have also been blessed with the support of the teaching staff who have been steadfast supporters throughout the year and for that, I am very grateful. By Sqn Ldr Sarbjeet Singh RAFAC
