84 During the academic year of 2020-2021 School House showed great ingenuity and positive spirit during the House competitions at Brentwood School.Why was this important? Well, like many students of the School we faced the challenge of Covid alongside the problem of having boarders across the world. So, our positive spirit and can-do attitude brought us together no matter where we were in the world. The first event of the School events was House Music, but not as we ever knew it before; the whole event was streamed and broadcasted on YouTube, which sounds easy enough but not only we needed good musicians, but also great video-makers. As I mentioned earlier, the event was broadcasted so we watched all together and it was really exciting as we all celebrated the amazing and well-deserved victory of Esther for best arrangement for Ensemble. For Unison we performed IWant it ThatWay and the excellent rendition was a medley of studio Ghibli music. We had further victories for the Lip Sync challenge where we performed a Friends revisited song intro. Everyone was involved and had so much fun making it. Even Mr Cope and Mr Taylor had a cameo in it. After the Senior School voted we were crowned the winners as I am sure we brought a smile to everyone’s face.
