The finals were played at Formby Golf Club in Liverpool. There were 21 schools competing in the team event (consisting of a three player team). Brentwood was placed 17th overall. Although we didn’t get the result we wanted, we all appreciated the experience, playing on some superb courses and having a lot of fun along the way. Max Porteous played consistently with rounds of 77 and 75 to finish tied for 31st individually. Pierce Mosley also played solidly to card a round of 78 followed by 75, finishing one shot back in a tie for 34th. Sam Epstein came home in a tie for 53rd place. The School also played in the HMC National Foursome competition. We breezed through our first match vs Westminster winning every game 10&8. In the next round, we drew Stowe School away. Unfortunately, we lost narrowly 2 games to 1 which knocked us out of the competition. All the boys played extremely well and are looking forward to the prospect of a re-match in the season ahead.
