the team. As a result now the ski team does not just cross every year group in the Senior School but includes pupils from Year 2 upwards! In February Max and Sam Kingsley travelled to Italy to compete in the British Schools Ski Championships and both returned again as medal winners in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom competitions. Full squad training ended at Easter and naturally the team celebrated with a delicious team BBQ hosted by our wonderful parent supporters. However, many racers just cannot get enough and so additional training was added in the Trinity Term for those available. This paid huge dividends as the team won the Senior Schools Competition in the National Schools Leagues Finals in May! This year has been my final year running the ski team at Brentwood School as I move on to pastures new. Therefore it seems right to take this opportunity to say a few “Thank Yous”. Firstly to the pupils - your dedication to train late into the evening every Tuesday alongside all your other school commitments is inspiring. Special thanks to the senior pupils leading the team, especially Ollie Sparks, Damon Pearse and Ed Fisher. Your support and help is invaluable.
