under pressure. Eventually, as rain began to fall, Brentwood won comfortably using the Duckworth-Lewis formula for a shortened game. Across the season there was a great team spirit where batting contributions from Henry Pratt, Udai Atwal, Aaryan Gaur and Johnny Goodson complemented the solid platforms of Anay Patel and Bobby Harris. In the bowling department Udai Atwel, Lachlan Stronach, Johnny Goodson, Adam Nuttall and Will Fullerton supported the accuracy of Krishan Kumar, Will Jackson and Anay Patel. The team will now progress to play in the National Regional Finals in late April 2023. Overall, they were an excellent team to coach, showing a high level of dedication toward practice and a steely determination to win on the pitch. Finally, many thanks to Jaik Mickelburgh, the School coach, who went above and beyond in helping prepare the team. We have now retained the U12 Essex Cup for three successive years! U12B The U12B team developed excellently in their first year at the School. They had a team of mixed abilities. Some had played Club Cricket, whilst others were just starting out. The whole teammade excellent progress throughout the season, and they built an excellent team spirit together. They started with a match against the U11A squad who they lost to. This was a wake-up call for the students that really spurred them on for the season. Overall the team won five out of seven matches, with a number of players making excellent contributions with both bat and ball. Overall, the team really enjoyed the season.
