EAST HOUSE East House participated in all events last year with determination and pride, with our dedicated House Captain, Anisar Sarwar, and ever-passionate Mr McCann leading by brilliant example. The Michaelmas term started off with a bang with East winning the fiercely-contested House Music competition for the first time in seven years! The new Year 7 pupils, amongst other talented musicians, valiantly contributed towards the victory, led by the ever-talented Upper Sixth (Jo Burgess, Charles Bowie-Britton and Anisa Sarwar, who led the Ensemble, Partsong and Unison respectively.) Joanna also won the conducting prize, demonstrating exemplary technique and leadership, and Anisa brought home the Unison cup after a spirited rendition of Walking on Sunshine, which had the whole audience dancing and singing along. With the East House flag flying high above the school grounds, we were off to a great start to the school year. 146
