Our last House event of the year was of course Sports Day. This was a great success - West came 3rd overall, which meant we held our 2nd place standing in the House Cup. There were records broken (Molly Smith, CallumWeedon), there was a bit of vomit (no names being mentioned here) and there was excellent camaraderie. I was so pleased to see that West House had the most competitors on the day. And you know what I always say, Westies - PARTICIPATION IS ALL THAT COUNTS. Our charity stall on the day helped boost our funds for The Essex Wildlife Trust and this year we have raised a whopping £1,634 in total. This included takings from the Christmas Fayre, the teachers’ preloved clothing sale and also the “Guess the Teachers’ Pets” competition. Thank you to Julianne Punwani who chased up all the teachers for photos of their pets - her help was invaluable during this busy West week. 161
