11JCS also did a secondhand bra and crop-top drive for their own choice of charity, which was above and beyond what was expected. Finally, Sadit Ahammod in Year 8 organised his own sweet sale, as part of his ongoing fundraising for the World Scout Jamboree next year; the £92 raised will certainly help towards the trip of a lifetime. In the Trinity term, the focus was on the House Track and Field charity stalls. Again, every House was so innovative; running raffles, hair-braiding stalls and ‘soak the teacher’. We managed to raise £4,050.18 for the House charities collectively. We also had our final non-uniform day of the term, which raised £2,028.25 for The Hope Foundation. We received a lovely thank you letter and certificate from the charity, which reminds us all how important our work is to these organisations. In addition, Rev. McConnaughie took part in the RideLondon challenge and managed to raise over £1,000 for Dementia UK. This is by no means the only fundraising that has been done this year, but it hopefully gives an insight into all of the hard work done by Houses, year groups, individuals and us as a school community. I am always proud of where I work, but when I write a reflection like this, I am truly inspired by the change we can make to so many by the events that we run. By Mrs Claudia Hardy 202
