Jennifer Shufflebotham Teacher of Design and Technology Mrs Shufflebotham was an incredibly supportive member of the DT department. She had a brilliant rapport with the students and they commented that she was very caring and supportive of them. She was an asset to not just the DT department but to the wider school community. She will be truly missed and we all wish her the best with her new adventure to Thailand. Sophia Asfar Teacher of Psychology Ms Asfar joined Brentwood in January 2020, and she steered the Psychology Department through a difficult period during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms Asfar had a real thirst for pedagogical development and strived to deliver innovative ideas for her students, no matter how much time she had to put in to see their development. She assisted the CPD teamduring her time here and led some aspects of our Teaching and Learning CPD, such as BLP and formative assessment. Ritchie Gale Head of Philosophy and Theology Mr Gale joined Brentwood as Head of Theology & Philosophy in April 2020, starting during the first lockdown and working for the School for months before being able to teach his first lesson with us in person. Despite all that, Mr Gale quickly became one of our own, highly respected by students for his productive and thought-provoking lessons and by staff within his Department for his characteristic, calm and collegiate leadership. 2 years 224
