Brentwoodian 2022

Jacqui Hicks “Don’t die wondering, try anything that interests you” Mrs Hicks joins Brentwood School’s Chemistry Department. Her skills in astronomy, the research of which helps inform NASA, will be a welcomed addition. Mrs Hicks also had an interesting career away from science, previously trading metals on the commodities market. Away from school, Mrs Hicks is passionate about sport, particularly sailing, cricket and yoga. Mrs Hicks is not just diverse in sport, but also with food, where she has a distinctive love for Japanese cuisine. Her favourite film is The Greatest Showman (2017), a popular choice for many, and if Mrs Hicks had a superpower it would be time control. Joe Lunn “If this [points to heart] is empty, this [hits own head] doesn’t matter.” - Dicky Fox (Jerry Maguire, 1996) Mr Lunn, a recent graduate from Cambridge University, joins Brentwood School’s Chemistry Department. Teaching at Brentwood will be Mr Lunn’s first professional career endeavour, and his expertise in Chemistry is a valued asset. In his free time, Mr Lunn engages in various sports, such as cycling, running, and wild swimming, as well as music, with his preference being funk and jazz. His favourite food is cheese and his favourite film is Forrest Gump (1994). If Mr Lunn could have a superpower it would be shapeshifting. 229
