Brentwood School’s English department welcomes Mrs Hingston. Mrs Hingston was inspired to teach by her Year 7 teacher, whose teaching style was mesmerising, able to make any topic come alive. During one lesson, the teacher threw herself across the room to enact a story of a boy who got impaled upon a set of railings. Mrs Hingston wants to replicate in her students the same excitement she felt when she was their age. Mrs Hingston briefly tried archaeology, but has always wanted to be a teacher. Mrs Hingston goes to the theatre and visits new cities in her free time. Her favourite food is her mother’s spaghetti bolognaise, and her favourite film is The Rock (1996). If Mrs Hingston could have a superpower it would be time travel. Rebecca Hingston “If you can be anything in this world, be kind.
