This season, the U12A Hockey team had an amazing time, worked exceptionally hard, and produced great results, considering that it was the first time we had played together! Our season started off with a bang, winning our first match 7-1! It was a brilliant achievement and we hoped to continue to play like that throughout the season. We won most of our matches, playing 14 in total, winning 12, drawing 1 and only losing 3! We always tried our best to clinch a win or claw back a draw and our stats prove this as our losses were narrow. The goals were scored by our attackers and midfielders, Olivia Barke, Katie Archer, Tierney Haward, Eva Sandhu, Freya White and Aster Samson-Conlan. Through teamwork and determination, we were able to score an astonishing 33 goals! In defence, Juliette Toms, Olivia Duley, Emilierose Carroll, Harriet Windsor and our goalkeepers Tia Patel and Abigail Oxley worked their socks off to concede as few goals as possible, only letting in 15 goals to have a goal difference of plus 18! We are all better players than we were at the start of the year, when some of us had never even picked up a hockey stick! We have a better understanding of the game, our skills have improved and so has our confidence whenever we play hockey. We are all excited for our next season as Under 13’s for a chance to improve and win a few more matches! As a team, we would like to thank Mrs Lazenby and all the teachers who have supported us this year.
