Myland Community Council Annual Report 2020

More works are planned including the new Myland Community Green (Village Green) on the site of Mill Road Sports Field continues. Sadly, it was anticipated that legal negotiations would be completed about this time, but the current situation has altered the timescale. It looks increasingly doubtful that the Rugby Club move to the new sports hub will go ahead on time. The estimated completion and handover of the green is not now expected till Summer 2024 at the earliest. On August Bank Holiday Monday I had the pleasure of opening the Myland Annual Fete. It was, fortunately, a lovely day and very busy and thanks must go to Councillor Marina de Smith and her team for organising this successful event. I would also wish to take this opportunity to express my personal thanks to our Clerk Katherine Kane for all her support and to Herbert Duin our Street Officer for his continued hard work in the community. Finally, my thanks go to Councillor Pete Hewitt, Council Vice Chair and the Chairs of the Standing Committees Councillor Alison Jay (RP&S) and Councillor Marina de Smith (CEC) for their support both to me and the Council. The Council is still here to serve our community. Please contact us through our website if you need any assistance.
