Myland Community Council Annual Report 2020

Greening the Parish planning has made progress as described elsewhere in this report under the leadership of Councillors Hewitt and De Smith. Our Bulb Giveaway again provided hundreds of free bulbs to local schools and to residents whilst Trees for Years provided shrubs and saplings. Both events continued to be well supported and will remain in the MCC calendar. Support to the community has continued with grants and donations to organisations including Together We Grow, Colchester and Ipswich Hospital Charities, Queen Boudica school Nurture Group as well as assisting MakeLunch accessing a grant from Essex Communities Foundation. Personnel Matters – In the absence of a Personnel meeting since April the Chair of RP&S has continued to keep an eye on employment matters including supporting the Clerk in the final stages of her CILCA qualification and performance management of employees.
