45 Learning & Growing 2nd Myland Brownies The Brownies enjoyed the summer term with lots of outside activities when the weather allowed and a trip to McLauchlan’s at Boxted for some strawberry picking. The pick your own farm there is very friendly and such a great array of fruit and vegetables. We also joined in with a Division trip to Wyvernwood at Ardleigh where the girls had a great time playing and using their imagination in the great outdoors. Our theme badge this term has been “Have adventures” and we certainly have! One of our meetings we made giant bubble wands and had great success with enormous bubble blowing! Sam Borroff, Brown Owl Braiswick Rangers Braiswick rangers re-opened in September 2023 after 3 years of closure, due to Covid. We meet in Myland Parish Halls. There are 4 girls in the group, with 2 more joining us since then and we are looking forward to welcoming a further 4 in September. The girls have enjoyed 3 terms so far, with a diverse range of activities including making feather shuttlecocks to play Jianzi, planning fitness routines, making cosmetics, looking at different fitness regimes, decorating the meeting place for Christmas, and helping at the water stations for the Colchester 10k charity race.
