Mylander - Issue 84

15 Churches We do however continue to do the work of the church. We still provide a home for the Rainbow Preschool and support the work of MakeLunch Myland. Those of us with the technology meet online for bible studies and evening prayers. Our YouTube channel (search for ColchesterMethodists ) hosts the Sunday Service and encouraging midweek thoughts on Tuesday and Thursdays. And we pray. We pray for our community, for our friends and neighbours. We pray for the businesses that make this a great place to live, for the doctors, the dentists and the schools. We pray for the healthcare workers that live among us, the postal workers that have enabled us to remain connected, the grocery shop staff that have never stopped being there to feed us and the van drivers that have kept us topped up with all of the other necessities of life. When it’s safe, we will open the building again and once more be a welcoming venue for Council and Community Meetings, for fundraising coffee mornings and holiday craft mornings for frazzled families. But in the meantime, if we can help with prayers or practical support, please do get in touch and let us know. Loving God, We thank you for the community in which we live with all of its love and vibrancy. Help us to be alive to the needs of our neighbours and willing to reach out with a smile, a kind word, a helping hand. Help us to support one another as the pace of life begins to pick up, that all may know that they belong and are valued by you and by us. Amen. God bless you all and keep safe. Revd. Ken Chalmers, Minister, The Well Methodist Church. Tel: 01206 545253 www.thewell-myland.org.uk
