Council Reports Myland Community Council meetings Myland Community Council (MCC) currently has three standing committees: • Planning & Highways • Resources, Policy & Strategy • Community Engagement Unfortunately there are no Council meetings in the near future to list here. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on the website for updated information: www.mylandcommunitycouncil.gov.uk Resources, Policy & Strategy Committee Since the last Mylander issue, the Committee have focused on Governance matters including risk assessment and the review and update of Council policies as required by our Terms of Reference. We had our first remote meeting in June and agreed expenditure for the first phase of the ”Greening the Parish” project, which is hopefully the start of a set of measures designed to enhance the environment in which we live. We continue to seek out and encourage local non-profit making organisations to apply for grants providing financial support, whilst they face immense fundraising pressure in the current situation. We are also delighted to confirm our Clerk has passed her Certificate In Local Council Administration professional qualification, providing her with a recognised broad knowledge of all the aspects of a clerk’s work – its roles and responsibilities, the law, procedures, finance planning and community involvement, allowing her to continue to support us effectively and empowering the Council to make the right decisions.
