Mylander - Issue 85

Learning & Growing Myland Pre-school CIC We have had a good start to the new term and were very excited about starting back and welcoming all the children old and new, who have all adapted well to the new entrance and covid restrictions. We said farewell to 36 children who have taken their next step onto primary school. Sadly covid meant we were not able to give them a graduation, but they all received a certificate through the post On Tuesday 22nd September we had Rob Sambrook photography in preschool and parents now have the hard decision of which of the lovely photos they order! We have had themes of all about me, families, my body, my senses, colours and Autumn throughout this half term and we will have themes of fireworks, the armed forces, Diwali, food, Hanukkah and Christmas throughout next half term. Once again the children are producing some early Christmas cards, which their parents have had the opportunity to order and see their child’s card in print to send out at Christmas! We held a bag2school collection on Monday 28th September (thank you to everyone who filled a bag for us) and we raised £39 for preschool funds. We will be having another one in the spring – please look out for a date and fill a bag for us if you are having a sort out! We finish the term on Friday 18th December with our Christmas party. The children will be entertained before their party lunch and party games and then we believe a certain Mother Christmas may visit with a present for every child! We return to pre-school on Monday 4th January 2021, ready for the new calendar year! We are always on the look out for any scrap paper that the children could drawon or envelopes that get sent out in mailings that you never use, so if you have any or know anyone that could provide us with some then please let us know!
