Churches The Well Methodist Church In October, we reviewed how we might re-open The Well Methodist Church for Sunday worship, but the hopes that we had were dashed by the increase in Covid-19 infection rate. The Church is not likely to open early in the New Year and any changes may be found on our website HERE. At the moment we continue to provide a home for the Rainbow Preschool and support the work of MakeLunch Myland. The use of technology for us to meet online has increased and this mode of meeting together will continue. During Advent, members were invited to be part of ‘The Jesse Tree’, when volunteers from all our Churches recorded Bible Stories for all ages, which were then transmitted each day on our YouTube channel. The stories, starting with the Creation, went through the Bible and traced how the coming of Jesus was foretold, and concluded with His birth in Bethlehem. There was also a “bauble” to download and colour in each day to hang on our Christmas Trees. Our YouTube channel can be found on our website HERE, which gives details of all events taking place. We continue to pray for our community, so if we can help with prayers or practical support, please do get in touch and let us know. After such a difficult year the following prayer (usually known as the Serenity Prayer) may be helpful as we begin 2021: God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And Wisdom to know the difference.
