38 Learning & Growing We upcycled cardboard to make cake stands and then made scones together for “Evening Tea”. We crafted salt dough hedgehogs, painted firework pictures and ate edible bonfires. We made paper Poppies, painted Remembrance stones that were taken to the War Memorial and from there had a virtual Remembrance Service on Saturday morning. Christmas crafts included more upcycling of wine bottles to make lights and making gingerbread men together. We also managed to earn our Photographers and Recycling Badges. The girls have loved Scavenger Hunts, quizzes, playing Linkee and probably, best of all, Pictionary, although how the virtual whiteboard works is a mystery to me! We are looking forward to the New Year, and hopefully one more virtual term before face-to- face Guiding will return.
