9 Council Reports Myland Hopper Bus Myland Hopper – starting Spring / Summer 2021 Myland Community Council will be supporting a new community hopper bus to link parts of the community not served by existing public transport routes. The council will be working in partnership with Community360, who will manage driver recruitment, training and vehicle provision. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver on the service, please see below for how you can get involved. Can you spare some time? If the answer is yes, then why not come and be our Hopper Bus Driver! We are looking for committed volunteers to help extend transport services for residents in the local area. This will be a service for the whole community, whether you’re going to work, the shops, or seeing friends! Whether you are unemployed, retired, working or just wanting something to do in the community... then become a Myland Hopper volunteer (minibus driver training will be provided). What you will get out of it: • It’s a great way to meet people. • You get to learn new skills with the training we provide. • You’ll be giving something to your community and helping other people get where they need to go.
