11 Council Reports Arthur Ryland – Looking after the planet Tackling climate change & improving sustainability category Arthur had been reading a book about looking after the planet. He found out about the things that are hurting the planet and what we can do to help. He also spent time looking at the WWF app for more ideas. He created a collage with photos to show everyone the things he had been doing to look after the planet! • Working out the carbon foot-print on an online app; • Switching off all lights and all appliances at the socket; • Reducing plastic by making Easter gifts and decorations– biscuits and egg painted with paint made from natural ingredients in the house; • Composting food waste; • Planting vegetables seeds; • Making a bug hotel.
