Mylander - Issue 88

33 From inside the community St Michael’s Myland, Mother’s Union As you know, our plans to open on July 7th were changed by the extension to the Lockdown. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to use the halls following the end of Lockdown (we hope) in July. We are now planning to open on August 14th with our Coffee Morning from 10am on that Saturday. After that, our meetings go back to the first Wednesday of the month for the rest of the year. Our plans are to have a speaker, Rev Sarah Hayward, our Pioneer Minister on September 1st and the following activities for the rest of the year: October 6th - Pack shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse, or make Christmas decorations. November 3rd - Speaker, Joy Budden will talk about her life after moving South. December 1st - Christmas Carols or Readings in Church, followed by refreshments in the Hall. We have another committee meeting in late July to plan for next year. So Mothers’ Union goes on despite the restrictions. Why not join us and see what it is like. June Chandler M.U.
