Learning & Growing 1st Myland Guides Unit We’ve had a good start to the term with 21 Guides, although our final three spaces have already been coveted for the new term in January. As this term usually has darker and damper evenings, we tend to work a little more on the programme and some crafts. Summer Holiday Activities Over the summer holiday we took eight girls down to the Wellies & Wristbands Girlguiding festival at Foxlease, in the New Forest, over the bank holiday weekend. The girls tried everything from science experiments to tree climbing and having their henna done. It was a full on weekend spent with over 3,000 other members of Girlguiding, with each evening culminating in a musical extravaganza. 39
