Learning & Growing Dementia Friend All our Guides have completed their Dementia Friends training so now have a much better understanding of what it is to live with dementia. We hope this will help them understand the difficulties some of our community face. Crochet Last summer the girls told us they wanted to learn knitting or crocheting! We took them up on the challenge and recruited several volunteers to help us teach them. The aim is to create 144 blanket squares to make a crochet blanket for a teenager who doesn’t have anyone to turn to. We have much more planned for the term including a cinema trip, a camp at Thorrington and a visit to the Mercury theatre to see backstage.
