Mylander Issue 98

25 From inside the community Myland Mother’s Union In December, we held our Carol Service followed by refreshments. Our thanks to Rev Ray Gibbs for leading the service, to Joe Richardson for accompanying us and to all who took part in the service, those who joined us and to the members who hosted the tea. Our next meeting will be our AGM on 7th February, when Officers and Committee are elected, and reports presented. Also in February we commence hosting “Lent Lite”. A simple meal of Bread and Cheese, Fresh Fruit. A Lenten Discipline. These take place in the small hall 1pm on Wednesdays, February 14th, 21st, 28th, and March 6th, 13th, 20th. No set charge, with donations accepted on the day—all proceeds to Christian Aid and St Michael’s Church. Everyone is welcome, we would love to see you. A quiet time of reflection is planned for our March meeting and Post Easter Communion in April. After a lot of prayerful thought I have decided to step down as Branch Leader in February. I wish my successor well and trust they will receive all the help and support I have had, for the continued growth of MU in Myland and Worldwide.
