acute trust emergency departments, police, London Ambulance Service and NHS 111. Improving Access to Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing services (IAPT) services Improving Access to Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing services (IAPT) offer a range of talking therapy options to help manage symptoms of stress, worry, and low mood and to build emotional resilience. IAPT services provide specialist interventions and support including one-to-one support to help people with stress-related problems, anxiety disorders, depression and trauma. IAPT can also help anybody needing more specialist support access the help they need. Following an initial assessment over the telephone, therapies are provided either virtually (telephone or video calls) or in GP surgeries or community venues across South West London. IAPT services have adapted this year to accept referrals for NHS staff for treatment regardless of whether they are registered with a GP in the same area as the IAPT service they wish to access. This approach has been taken to remove barriers to staff accessing mental health support during this challenging time and means that staff working in South West London will be able to receive treatment in the borough where they live or work.
