South West London CCG Annual Report and Accounts 2020/21

Public Sector Equality Duty The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) consists of general and specific duties for public authorities to meet under the Equality Act 2010, as set out above. We have a responsibility to demonstrate how we as an organisation are meeting our legal duties and are required to publish information annually showing how we comply. Equality analyses All projects commissioned by NHS South West London CCG are required to complete an Equality Analysis prior to implementation. This is to ensure that the project has considered the impact it will have on those communities it affects. We have developed a system to ensure that appropriate assessments are carried out at the right time. Equality Analyses form a key part of our documentation on every project. Equality Delivery System reports The Equality Delivery System (EDS) is a system that helps NHS organisations improve the services they provide for their local communities and provide better working environments, free of discrimination, for those who work in the NHS, while meeting the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. The EDS was developed by the NHS, for the NHS, taking inspiration from existing work and good practice. NHS South West London CCG and all NHS providers in South West London have implemented the Equality Delivery System. You can read more about our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, including our plans and policies, on our website at www. swlondonccg.nhs.uk/about/equality-diversity- and-inclusion.
