The Big Pitch - NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme 2022

| 25 Michaela Coker Social Prescribing Link Worker, Community Development Lead at My Community Age UK Lambeth and Streatham AT Medics Primary Care Network, London Michaela has nine years of frontline experience working in Primary Care in various patient-centred roles including reception management and primary care navigation. Since 2019, she has been committed to social prescribing in public health working collaboratively in the voluntary, community, social enterprise and the NHS. Her vast understanding of personalised care encouraged her to lead on several initiatives that benefit patients such as the Thriving Streatham wellbeing hub founded in October 2021. Michaela’s passion to tackle health and social inequalities is what led to her current innovation. During the pandemic, she monitored the pressures on the social prescribing service and the lack of capacity many link workers had to partake in personal and professional development. Recognizing the issue, she wondered if an integrated collaboration platform could improve the service structure. In its early stages, the mobile app will be accessible to all link workers who will have 24/7 access to all the resources and support they need to feel empowered in their roles. www.thrivingstreatham.com Email: [email protected] LinkedIn: /michaelacc Gayle Dellow Digital Midwife Gayle is an experienced midwife with a previous career in IT specialising in software consultation, installation and data analysis. As one of the first in the world to obtain a masters degree in IT service management, her dissertation looked at the reasons for failures in change management. As a current digital midwife, she is supporting the maternity services in rolling out systems and processes to drive the digital transformation with a goal of being the leaders in utilising digital solutions and going paper free within her trust, as well as the paving the way for other healthcare providers locally and nationally. The pitch used to obtain a place on the Healthcare Innovation Placement Pilot was in relation to the multitude of clinical systems available to healthcare at present, each with its own patient data locked within. Each system has its own unique ability to provide value within the clinical setting for varying specialties. However, with the ever growing focus on the patient, it is essential that we look at ways of integrating clinical systems to provide the best patient care. Essentially, having a software product that would become the interface between clinical systems to provide a coherent patient narrative to any consulting clinician irrespective of clinical system used.
