| 33 Séamus Coyle Consultant in Palliative Medicine and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer Séamus is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He is also the Clinical Lead for Innovation at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. He is passionate about improving peoples care towards the end of life. He has been working on the biology of dying and a urine test predicting death from cancer for the past 12 years. Kyle and his Co-Founder Paul Winyard (Experimental Medicine at The University of Exeter) have spent over a decade exploring the phytochemistry of watercress. They have developed and submitted for international patents for a process to extract bacterial urease enzyme inhibitors from watercress along with other clinically useful compounds. They have designed, built and commissioned a biorefinery in Exeter to create their specific extract and have incorporated this into the Prof & Doc skincare range, launched January 2024.
